It has rained for more than twelve hours that day… twelve hours where we could have stayed stocked in hour room… but the nights in Seorak area can be very boring… and we were in the mood to go out for a walk…
It has rained for more than twelve hours that day… twelve hours where we could have stayed stocked in hour room… but the nights in Seorak area can be very boring… and we were in the mood to go out for a walk…
First night in Seoraksan… the small village Seorakdong at the entrance of the park is desert… there is only a group of adjumma and adjocha ready to party in the norebang (korean karaoke) … Yaniv and I have nothing to do… only listening to the music from outside and watching the funny landscape…
Friday noon, in the heat of Seoul, people watch silently a screen… either on a mobile phone or on the large screens in the city… some people as me tried to go to Gyungbukpalace, where the funerals were, through CityHall. But the area was surrounded by the police… we could not go anywhere…. Alone with a screen image as a the only comfort…
Saterday morning I was watching television… I could not understand why the same image was on the screen… of the former president Roh walking in front of bunch of journalists… the loop image of his face contained a restrained sadness and another feeling I could not describe… then I understood on another channel the news that he commited suicide in the mountains…
Since Sunday, the city center is sieged by police and mourners… it is a strange atmosphere… like a silent chaos… that can break from one moment to another
Sunday afternoon… after a night partying in Hongdae… need a time to relax a little…
yaniv arrived yesterday in Seoul… it is like we’ve never been separated from each other…
a new day is coming… in my birthtown… Daegu… surrounded by friends, I feel so secure…
